Employees of The Company[]

  • Isaac LaMont - Isaac is rarely referenced by name or his relation to any character, place, or thing in the story. Though never appearing physically to take part at any point, he is revealed as a pertinent character in Year 4 when we find out that he is the head of the Lamont Corporation aka, the mysterious "Company" that employs Mr. Transport, Mr. Numbers, and a large majority of the DVA agents/teams. He's a non-super as far as any information revealed about him goes.
  • Mr. Move - A strong and intimidating man, Mr. Move has the power to stop others from moving in total or in part. For example, at one point he is able to prevent Mr. Numbers and Mr. Transport from moving at all, but allows them to retain the ability to speak.
  • Mr. Stop - Possesses the power to temporarily stop time in a small area for those whom he is touching at the time. He is a strong, muscular, African-American.
  • Ms. Tracking - Possesses the power to track and locate any living person, barring any interference from other supers with the ability to neutralize her power. She is a dainty but strong brunette.
  • Ms. Tech - Jill Murray’s name once she joins the Company.

Las Vegas Organized Crime Characters[]

  • Enrique - A muscled security guard who works for Miss. Pipps and Gerry.
  • Fleece - One of Nick Campbell's childhood teachers, who specialized in hand skills and pick pocketing.
  • Florence - As part of the Pips family organization, Florence has the power to make people blend into a crowd, avoiding any unwanted attention.
  • Jerome - An employee of Ms. Pips, Jerome is frequently partnered with Eliza. He was caught stealing food from the Ms. Pips' casino as a young child. Gerry and Ms. Pips offered him a job. He seems to have the power of extreme durability, and possibly super strength. Not much else is known about his power. He eventually takes over Gerry’s position in the organization.
  • McCracken - A rival Vegas family, "nipping at the heels" of the Pipps organization.
  • Nathaniel Evers - With raven black hair and glowing orange eyes, Nathaniel has the power to feed off the fears of others, Nathaniel can increase his own physical strength. He is the black-sheep son of some of the higher ups of a rival Las Vegas crime family, and he hates Nick Campbell most of all. He eventually comes to Lander, following Nick, in an effort to "beat" him in their life time rivalry. His power left him with distinct orange eyes, and he leaves those around him with a sense of fear and anxiety.
  • Ms. Pips - Owner of the casino Nick Campbell was raised in and Nick's Aunt. She took Nick in after his parents died and raised him as her own. Nick is being groomed to take over her criminal organization in Las Vegas.
  • Wilson Evers - The head of the Evers family organization, the arch rivals of the Pips family organization, Wilson is more pragmatic than his nephew, Nathaniel Evers.

Elemental Fury Hero Team[]

  • Birdsman - An older hero on the Elemental Fury team, he summons various birds of fire, lighting, or plasma, that fight on his behalf. He is respected by the many younger heroes with whom he works.
  • Gale - As leader of the Brewster-based hero team of Elemental Fury, Gale is an accomplished hero, loyal, honest, and always puts the good of the people she's trying to help above her own interests. She has dark skin and her suit is green and black. Gale is an elementalist with control over air, wind, etc. She eventually takes on Alice Adair as her intern.
  • Granite - Also a member of the Elemental Fury team, Granite is a shifter who's shifted granite-stone form allows him to operate strongman type hero who weighs several tons.
  • Misdirection - She's a member of the Elemental Fury hero team in Brewster. Her power is a mastery of illusion and the ability to transform her physical appearance. She eventually takes on Will Murray as an intern.
  • Spring - A speedster, she is a member of Elemental Fury in Brewster with a strong reputation. She uses various super-tech devices to help capture or restrain her opponents.

The Gentle Hammers Hero Team[]

  • Deadlift - The former leader of the Wild Bucks hero team, Deadlift is a super with the power to control the weight of anything he lifts, allowing him to operate as a sort of strongman hero. His father was also a hero, who died of cancer many years before Deadlift started the Wild Bucks. More than his teammates, Deadlift seems to carry a heavy guilt for past mistakes. He is the team leader for the new Gentle Hammers.
  • Juice - Formerly with the Wild Bucks, Juice is a metabolic absorber. If she consumes a specific beverage, she grows in size and becomes stronger and more durable.
  • Kaiju - As part of the original Wild Bucks team, Kaiju is a shifter who transforms into a strongman type beast. He is young, and carries the guilt of his past failings.

Brewster Mordent Holdings PEERS Team[]

  • Bubble-Bubble - Beautiful with copper colored hair, she is a member of the same PEERS team as Owen Daniels. She can create energy bubbles that are durable and movable.
  • Dr. Edgar - One of the on-site doctors who helps look after the PEERS team.
  • Galvanize - The young leader of a Brewster based PEERS team that Owen Daniels worked with as a hero liaison. He's young, has brown hair, and boy-next door features. Galvanize is a minor enhancer, with some enhanced durability and strength. His ability allows him to maximize a person's natural abilities to 100%. Galvanize was rejected by the different HCP schools, three years in a row, which lead to him joining a PEERS team.
  • Hannah (Hexcellent) - A young goth-super who worked on a PEERS team in Brewster with Owen Daniels. She is freshmen student at Sizemore as of Year Four, having been admitted upon Titan's recommendation. She has the ability to summon creatures or "demons,' which are energy constructs. Most notably her rabbit, Hopculese, is of enormous size and damage capability. She has also kept these summons active even when she was unconscious, which is a rare talent. She joined in the assault on Charles Adair's secret facility at the end of Year Four.
  • Harold Green - As a corporate executive, he helps manage the a PEERS team in Brewster on behalf of the Mordent Holdings company. He is a company man, and has a tense relationship with the team, but seems to prioritize their health and success.
  • Dr. Thaddeus Kirkland - Going by the name "Kirk", he is one of the on-site doctors who helps look after the PEERS team.
  • Topsy - A retired hero who co-founded the Gentle Hammers with Titan many years ago. He has the ability to manifest powerful energy vortexes that can be used offensively or defensively. He eventually works as a hero liaison for the PEERS Team.
  • Zone - A member of the Infamous PEERS team along with Titan. He has enhanced durability, agility, and strength. He is tanned and has frosted tips in his hair. He represents a skate board company.

Globe's Team[]

  • Adam Riley - Adam has the ability to mimic any other person by morphing into them. When the person he mimics is a Super he takes on their abilities as well. He must physically touch the person he wishes to mimic, it is stated that originally his time limit ranged at about six hours, but in junior year he can hold it easily for 9 hours and if actively working on it for 12 hours. He is shorter than Alice, lean, and has close cut light colored hair.
  • Joan (Scarf) - A speedster who works for Globe while he is on the run. Joan also goes by the name "scarf" when first meeting outsiders.
  • Quentin - A young boy, he was taken in by Gerard Cooper (Raze). Quentin is a powerful amplifier, the ability to increase the powers of other supers for a short period of time. He uses a three person tactic along with Adam Riley and Globe to help create a double-enhancement on Globe's team which they called the Mobius effect.

Sons of Progress[]

  • Crispin - Serves as the head of the Sons of Progress organization. Crispin is a highly potent enhancer and has used the powers of other supers to manipulate the minds and memories of others by using a form of brainwashing. Nick shoots him during the assault on the secret facility.
  • Gretchen - A member of the Sons of Progress, who joined in the Lander attack, she has the ability to block teleportation through spatial anchoring.
  • Iona - A member of the Sons of Progress, who joined in the Lander attack, she has the power to establish large power shields, like the energy dome that cut of Lander from the rest of the world the night of the attack.
  • Sherman - Works as Crispin's right-hand-man within the Sons of Progress organization. He is a highly competent teleporter.
  • Woodrow - A member of the Sons of Progress, who joined in the Lander attack, he has the power to block electronic transmissions, which he used to help cut off Lander from the outside world.

Other Known Supers[]

  • Abraham Idris Ailes (Abridail) - Though originally a powered, Abridail has the ability to dream-walk, though his physical body is incapacitated and he lived most of his life in a long-term care facility in West Texas. He eventually receives treatment to become a super. He uses his dream walking ability to communicate to Shelby Adair, Alice Adair, Mary Smith, and Nick Campbell.
  • Afterthought - An advanced mind hero who works in Brewster.
  • Aether - A super on the team of Transcendental Justice in Brewster, wearing a white and blue suit with a cape. She has the power to turn herself, others, or objects into an incorporeal form. Her power shifts people to a slightly different plane of existence, she is not a density manipulator.
  • Ava (Madam Clandesta) - Though she poses as a medium, she's actually a highly skilled telepath, and a family friend to the Daniels family. She has helped Hershel and Roy over the years, better understand their connection and their power.
  • Ayanna - A super who works for the Sons of Progress, she has the ability to erect large energy domes, and does so to block anyone from leaving or entering the Lander campus during the Son's attack on Lander's HCP.
  • Bed-Rest - A healer super who operates as a hero in Brewster.
  • Bertram (Bone Crusher) - A strongman super who works as a criminal and kidnaps the daughter of the hero, Bilge, before being caught by Mr. Numbers, Mr. Transport, Ms. Tracking, and Mr. Stop. He works with two other super criminals, who are barely mentioned, Magot and Flick.
  • Bette Riggs (Barrage) - A ranged combat major, she represented Korman at the Year Four Intramurals and lost to Alice in the second round. She has the ability to fire energy shots from her hands/eyes and to angle the shots in any direction.
  • Bilge - A hot headed super hero whose daughter was kidnapped by his enemies, Bertram/Bonecrusher, and eventually rescued by Mr. Numbers, Mr. Transport, Ms. Tracking, and Mr. Stop.
  • Brenda Sellers (Militia) - A Korman student with short hair, Brenda was one of her school's champions at the Year Four Intramural Competition. She is a weapons major, as a duplicator she is able to create multiple copies of herself, each typically armed with a variety of conventional weapons and gadgets. She shares a hive mind with her copies, and can organize their actions and strategies. She loses to Chad in the first round.
  • Brett Rhodes (Barrier) - The son of Hank Rhodes, and Sizemore HCP graduate who lost the final match of the intramural competition to Angela DeSoto in Year Three.
  • Carmen - The young super niece of Mr. Numbers. She has an advanced intelligence, like her Uncle, but shows signs she may surpass him. She'd finished a Ph.D. before she turned nine years of age.
  • Chance Gerry Campbell - The son of Nick Cambpell and Alice Adair, at his fifth birthday, he shows subtle signs of having the power to manipulate time. His grandmother, Shelby Adair, witnesses this and also has visions that when the great conflict between supers, powereds, and humans occurs, Chance will be the world's champion.
  • Chairman - The Chairman was a hero who was killed in the line of duty when a fellow hero, Green Jeans, lost control and accidentally killed him. He left behind a wife and two children.
  • Clifton Bean - An HCP student from West Private, who represented his school at the Year Four Intramural Competition.
  • Conrad Booker (Seismic) - A student at Sizemore, Conrad represented his school at the Year Four Intramural Competition. He defeated Chad in the second round, Alice in the third round, and lost to Vince in the finals. He is a control major and has the elemental control of stone and rock. He joined in the assault on Charles Adair's secret facility.
  • Coral - A hero who watches the fourth year senior tests to find an intern. Her powers are unknown, she wears a red and blue suit. She briefly bonded with Vince at one of the Year Four mixers, letting him know that one of her parents was a criminal and that she understood his challenges.
  • Dispatch - The mysterious intelligence behind the Heroes' communication network. She has an unidentifiable accent, and her powers or existence are not well known. The only that is known is that she is always there, she can be trusted, she has information the heroes need, and she is beyond the reach of potential enemies.
  • Doreen - A super with the power to summon highly destructive crafted energy. After being framed for the explosive destruction of one of her employer's facilities, she flees and considers killing herself while blowing up several city blocks before she is talked off the ledge by Jack of All and Adrastia.
  • Eli - A super with the power to blast a gray energy that disintegrates matter. He got into some trouble, and is technically a prisoner, but also worked with various heroes on work-leave to reduce his sentence. He is from Brewster.
  • Erwin Mooney (Whetstone) - A weapons major, Ervin represented Overton at the Year Four Intramurals. He has the power to sharpen any object to make it be able to cut through anything. He lost to Shane DeSoto in the first round. He joined in the assault on Charles Adair's secret facility.
  • Galina - A powerful and secretive mimic, she can mimic the appearance and powers of any super with only a few strands of hair, but her power only allows her to do this for one hour, once a day. She works for various entities through contractual agreements, including corporations, the DVA, Dean Blaine, and others.
  • Green Jeans - A super who lost control many years before the events of these books, and accidentally killed a hero named The Chairman. He then went on a long term undercover mission, and when he came back The Chairman's family had to deal with his return to life. He often visited the children of the Chairman, and they attending his funeral when he later died in the line of duty.
  • Hank Rhodes - A muscular and dark skinned super, and long term friend of the Daniels family and a southern rancher. Hank is a super with the ability to create powerful energy shields. He is also a top-notch trainer of young heroes and spends a summer training Roy/Hershel and the next summer helping to train most of the Class of Nightmares. His son graduated from West Sizemore's HCP.
  • Jade Norris (The Comet) - With short brown hair and an athletic build, Jade is an accomplished SSA athlete and has worked as an SAA commentator since retiring.
  • Jeremiah -Jeremiah is a respected subtlety hero working with the Modis Operandi team, which is composed entirely of subtly heroes and based in Brewster. He develops a friendship with Owen Daniels, and asks Owen out on a date. Jeremiah is among the heroes looking for an intern at the Year Four senior exams and at the end of Year Four, Jeremiah takes on Vince Reynolds as his intern. His power allows him to have some level of enhanced endurance along with amazing self-regeneration capabilities, allowing him to self-heal from even fatal injuries. His actual power allows him to "lock in" the state of his body at a specific point and return to that point in case of injury.
  • Kennedy Dawson (Misdirection) - Posing as the Lander student, she lead the Take Back Lander movement which sought to remove the HCP from Lander, and then to out the HCP students true identities. In reality, she was a hero responding to the Take Back Lander movement's threat to the HCP while testing Will Murray to see if he would make a suitable intern. She's a member of the Elemental Fury hero team in Brewster. Her power is a mastery of illusion and the ability to transform her physical appearance.
  • Leia Griffin - The daughter of Alex Griffin (Knockoff), though only a young child, she has already started showing signs of being a super, having somehow managed to enlarge the size of her toy box. She is obsessed with the Doctor Who television show, and has little interest in her father's Star Wars fandom.
  • Lesley Huber (Dodge) - A weapons major, Lesley represented her school, which is not confirmed, at the Year Four Intramural Competition. She has the power of perfect spatial awareness, making nearly impossible for her to be hit by any attack, while flawlessly firing her weapon at her opponents. She also joined in the assault on Charles Adair's secret facility.
  • Lucinda Cherry (Slow Burn) - An Overton student, Lucinda represented her school at the Year Four Intramural Competition. She lost to Vince in the first round. Lucinda is a control major and can manipulate oxygen, allowing her to suffocate her opponents, or to light the very air on fire. She lost to Vince in the second round, and joined in the assault on Charles Adair's secret facility. She and her wife eventually become close friends with the Lander students, attending the birthday party of Chance Gerry Campbell.
  • Natalie (Bubbles) - A Super girl who Nick has casually dated. Her nickname comes from both her talkative personality and her power to conjure actual bubbles. Bubbles is not part of the HCP, and as such has no idea Nick and his friends have abilities of their own.
  • Nelson Galloway (Big Boom) - An Overton student, Nelson represented his school at the Year Four Intramural Competition. He is a close combat major, as a shifter, Nelson can transform into a seven foot tall gray creature with swollen limbs, enhanced strength, and durability. He also has the ability to open up the many mouths all over his shifted form's body to make a debilitating sonic attack. He joined in the assault on Charles Adair's secret facility.
  • Roger Brown- Possessing the power to instill a specific emotion in those who hear his voice, this power to calm the crowds comes in handy for Roger, who is the owner of the Six Shooter bar. As the owner, he is Roy, Chad, Angela, and Alice's boss while they work for the bar during their time at Lander.
  • Sam Carney (Grave Robber) - A close combat major, this student represented Korman at the Year Four Intramurals, Sam is an adapter. He can take on the form and powers of various animals if he consumes part of their bodes, and is able to take on multiple animal forms at once. He lost to Vince Reynolds in the first round. He joined in the assault on Charles Adair's secret facility.
  • Scope - A Brewster based hero who serves as a scout and recon role.
  • Sharon (Diamond Glance) - A friend of the DeSoto family, and a member of the same hero team as Graham DeSoto. She died on the job, leaving a strong impression on Angela and Shane DeSoto. Angela credits Sharon with her own decision to be a hero, embrace that she might die, and to live life in the fullest in the meantime.
  • Shelby Hill Adair - The wife of Charles Adair, twin of Blake Hill, and half sister of Sean Pendelton. She was born a powered with incredibly strong powers of seeing potential futures. After the birth of her daughter, Alice Adair, she began having overwhelming nightmarish visions of a dark future. This led to the incident that culminated in the murder of Intra, Globe going on the run, the development of the procedure to convert powereds into supers, and Shelby eventually was given the treatment and gained control over her powers.
  • Shutterbug - An active hero who speaks to various HCP programs, Shutterbug has the ability to manipulate and slow time in certain limited areas. She works with a hero team in Atlanta.
  • Transmute - A hero with the power to take on the physical characteristics of various substance (stone, metal, concrete, etc.) that she touches. She is the mother of Judy Bush.
  • Unseelie - The leader of the hero team The Wayward Wraiths, who takes on Angela DeSoto as an intern upon her graduation. Angela describes her as a "real beast." She is the team leader for the Wayward Wraiths.
  • Wild Claws - A super who watches the senior exams in Year Four. He is shaggy-haired, wears a green and gray costume, has wide shoulders and looks like a walking ball of muscle. He was a friend of the original Intra, and offers encouragement to Chad Taylor after the first senior year exam.

Other Non-Super Characters[]

  • Anastasia - A six foot, five inches tall hair stylist, Anastasia is Alice's long time hair stylist while she attended Lander, and assisted in repairing Camille's hair after it was set on fire during a fight with Vince, Roy, and Chad in Year Three.
  • Ms. Anders - A social worker who checked up on Nick Campbell when he was a young child in the care of his Aunt, Miss. Pipps.
  • Brei - A young hostess at the Dash About club in lander, she played host to the students in Year Three for their Halloween Party.
  • Brenda - As manager of the restaurant Supper with Supers, she is Camille, Vince and Mary's boss while they work at the restaurant.
  • Brooklyn - Another waitress at Supper with Supers, who is friends with Lacey, Vince, Mary, and Camille. Though a talented waitress, she is somewhat lazy while at work. She develops a small crush on Vince in Year Three.
  • Carol - Phil and Charles mother. Carol is also the name of Phil and Clarissa's daughter
  • Derrick Connors - A friend of Ralph Chapman who works for the Department of the Treasury. He is one of Ralph's only friends, the two met decades ago while working on a campaign together. He has a daughter named Pepper who attends Sizemore, she is a super but her power to change the taste of food doesn't qualify her for any HCP or SSA regulations.
  • Edmonton - A member of the Adair Corporation's Board of Directors. He is often at odds with Alice, but is unable to stop her plans for the company.
  • Elmer - A friend of Hershel's from Chicago, and a fellow LARP enthusiast.
  • Glenn - The former boyfriend of Jill Murray, and a non-HCP Lander student. Glenn is emotionally abusive and manipulative towards Jill, and eventually is scared away from Jill when confronted with threats from her brother, Will Murray.
  • Mrs. Hadingsworth - A wealthy woman who procures the services of Casper (Hallow) for his de-aging ability in the beginning of Year Two.
  • Horatio Vendors - A wealthy businessman, who owns several companies. He is in the process of selling one of them to Charles Adair in Year One, when he has dinner with Charles, Alice, Nick, and his daughter, Beth Vendors, who is a Junior HCP student.
  • Dr. Hubert - A doctor who helped run a facility that housed Vince prior to the procedure that turned Vince from a powered to a super. He met with Mr. Transport and Mr. Numbers to discuss Vince's treatment and status.
  • Jack Reynolds - A detective, Jack took on a mentorship role for Phil Adair when he was a child, after his father died. Their close relationship is why Phil gave Vince the last name of Reynolds.
  • Jacob Stewart - A powered, with the ability to teleport when he sneezes, Jacob visits the HCP freshmen Ethics class in Year One. After prodding, Nick gets him to admit that he carries a feather with him, to force a sneeze, and thus use his power when needed. His story his sad, but it is also a reminder that Powereds can be dangerous.
  • Kent Meers - A genuinely kind man, and somewhat casual, Kent is the Employment Liaison for the Lander HCP. He assists students in finding employment with cooperative employers who understand their limited time availability.
  • Lacey - A waitress at the Supper with Supers restaurant, Lacey was the waitress in charge of training Mary and Vince when they started working there during Year Three.
  • Larry (L-Ray) - A powered student at Lander, with the ability of x-ray vision, he is a roommate of Bubbles, and boyfriend of Steve. He meets our main characters in Year One, and occasionally pops up throughout the series. At first, he is very flamboyant, wearing audacious clothing and makeup, which is actually made from lead to help counter act his x-ray vision when it flares up out of control.
  • Professor Lee - A Lander professor, who teaches Nick's "Theoretical Anatomy of Variant Humans" class in Year Three.
  • Lenny Nicolo - The premier agent in the business of representing the interests of his hero clients. He represents Titan, and many of the students from the Class of Nightmares. After Titan's fall from grace, Lenny helped look after Sally, Roy and Hershel Daniels as well. He remained a close friend to the Daniels family. He also continued to represent Titan and eventually Alice Adair, Vince Reynolds, Shane DeSoto, and Roy/Hershel Daniels.
  • Senator Malcolm - As the chairman for the Department of Variant Human Affairs, he was  at the top of the chain for the government program. Short of presidential involvement, Senator Malcolm’s word was law. He stepped down from his post at the beginning of Year Four in part to protect Lander's HCP from political opposition.
  • Miriam Taylor - The wife of the original Intra, Joshua Taylor, and the mother of Chad Taylor. Miriam also has a close relationship with Dean Blaine. She is supportive of her son, though she did try and talk him out of taking on the mantel of hero, and also initially opposed Chad's decision to use his father's hero name. She has shoulder length blond hair, and tanned skin, from a living next to the ocean.
  • Ralph Chapman - A character with a chip on his shoulder in regards to Supers and how they use their powers. Often seen as an antagonistic force in regards to multiple protagonists and antagonists alike throughout the Super Powereds story-line. He is involved with the DVA and utilizes its resources in any way he feels he can get away with to forward his ambitions and ideals.
  • Randolph - As a sort of private investigator and conman, Randolph worked for Sherman and the Sons of Progress in an effort to gather information about the families of the formerly powereds, namely, Sally Daniels. He was eventually caught by Mr. Numbers and Mr. Transport, who put an end to his spying.
  • Ross - A senior at Lander in Year Three who dances with Camille at the Six Shooter club.
  • Sally Daniels - Formerly married to the hero, Titan, Sally Daniels is a formidable woman despite her lack of powers. She is fiercely loyal to her family and loves her sons, Roy and Hershel Daniels. Despite her lack of powers, she is not a woman to cross. She lives in Chicago in a neighborhood of many supers, but she is originally from Texas.
  • Sarah - Mother of Carmen, a super, and younger sister to Mr. Numbers.
  • Smidt (Ryan Sumter) - A private investigator of some skill who is hired by Ralph Chapman to spy on the formerly powered students enrolled at the Lander HCP.
  • Simon - Charles Adair's most trusted aid. Simon assists Charles in the day-to-day business of his organization and less-than-legal endeavors. His last known location is Venice, Italy, where he was sent by Charles Adair when the assault on the Adair lab began in order to protect Simon and his husband from being held liable for the crimes committed by Charles.
  • Spyda - A amicable young man, Sypda has taken on the persona of a tattoo covered front man for a hard metal band, and dated Hexellent in Brewster.
  • Steve - A friend of Bubbles and Larry (L-Ray), he is a muscular good-ole-boy type, and is dating Larry. Like the others, he meets our main characters in Year One, and occasionally pops up throughout the series, such as in opposition to the Take Back Lander group.
  • Tad - A member of the Take Back Lander group, Tad was outspoken in complaining about the response from Will in sharing information about the group's members. He eventually left the group.

Deans and Staff of other HCP Schools[]

  • Doctor Haas - An on-site healer at one of the HCP Schools, who was present for the Year Four Intramurals
  • Herbert Jackson, Dean of Sizemore Tech (Grasp) -  A towering man, hair more gray than black, with the sort of imposing aura that made people unconsciously avoid touching him even in the most crowded of public settings. His nickname when working as an active hero was Ghost of the Battlefield. His is a brilliant hand-to-hand fighter who plays his density manipulation powers like a concert musician and his hero name is Grasp. Dean Jackson has been the head of Sizemore Tech's HCP for decades. He is close to Titan even following his fall from grace.
  • Janine - Sizemore HCP's Control professor, who retires roughly ten years following the events of Year Four.
  • Kathleen Bishop, Dean of Overton University (Reaction) - Copper hair and matching eyes. She is a shifter with the power to change aspects of her form to suit the needs of a fight and goes by the hero name Reaction. She can shift into a variety of strong forms and even self-heal while shifted. She is tough and brash and a fierce warrior. She has a grin that can set a criminal's fear into overdrive.
  • Margaret "Maggie" Silva, Dean of West Private University (Overgrowth) - A woman who seemed wholly unremarkable, save for the streak of green running through her hair. Looks like an aging hippie, and doesn't drink. Her hero name is Overgrowth and can cause and manipulate plant growth on a scale unmatched by any other Super in history, including growing her own hardened bark and moss armor.
  • Merrick, Former Dean of Lander University - The former dean of Lander's HCP, he served as dean for many years, including overseeing the Class of Legends.
  • Wesley Fox, Dean of Korman University (Blind Spot) - Dark skinned, lean and wiry, with a perfectly groomed mustache, A subtlety hero. Advanced mind. His hero name is Blind Spot, and he is a powerful advanced mind and adept with telekinesis attacks, he also uses conventional weapons to attack his opponents. He is the only Subtlety Hero in the history of the HCP to gain a position as dean.
  • Professor Woodsworth - A professor at a different HCP, Prof. Woodsworth assisted in the senior class labyrinth challenge where Lander's students took on their own professors. It is not clear in the book, but he works for either Korman or Overton's HCP.
  • Doctor Villegas - An on-site healer at one of the HCP Schools, with unnaturally blue eyes, who was present for the Year Four Intramurals.
